My fiancee rented a room in a home in Orange County. He contracted West Nile (caused by mosquito bite) the windows of his room did not have screens. He almost died. Spent 3 weeks in hospital then rehabilitation hospital, relearning how to walk, eat, shower, dress, etc. He lost wages and has medical co pays. What can we do to get information from this landlord he rented from? Wouldn't homeowners Insurance cover this? He, of course, no longer lives there...
